A Cheap HD for PPC(??)

I've heard/read talk about folks considering purchasing one of the new iPOD 'Minis' just to to tear it down and steal the 4GB drive out of it for use elsewhere. If you be one of them folks considering this, the following might prove worth reading first........

I think you can do that with another mp3 player also for 199$

4GB MD for you and 1GB left for the mp3 player, I think.

The microdrive just needs to be reformatted for it to work... same goes if you want to use an existing microdrive for the iPod... you need to let the iPod reformat...

You have to be careful though, I think if you format it wrong it wont unformat. I read it in another article.

I thought I saw somewhere (maybe in this forum) that the new MuVos (don't know about the iPods) are going to ship with non-removeable HDs, has anyone heard this or have a hard source?
