I'm really, really starting to get annoyed by the chipping paint on my iPaq 1935's D-pad. I was looking for a case that might actually cover the D-pad with some sort of opaque material so I don't have to look at the hideous thing :( If anyone could help me... I'd greatly appreciate it :D

Remember: it has to cover the D-pad (similar to the way a keyboard cover covers a keyboard.

Thanks again!

are you looking for a case that will enable you to use the dpad while it is covered?

There are cases that cover the entire PDA until you flip it open. Is this what you're looking for?

No, no, no. I want it to cover the D-pad while I'm using it.

Thanks for the help.

LOL

There are no "soft" see through cases that would hide it. If you want to be able to use the DPAD, you have to see the DPAD. If the case is clear so you can see the DPAD, you would be covering the DPAD and still be using it. You cant hide the mark though.

Your question is very.. I dont know, impossible to answer?

Ok Mr. Impossible

I e-mailed HP to ask if they would replace the entire casing on my iPaq or just the D-pad. I am awaiting response 8)

I'll post back if they will replace the casing.

If not... well... I guess I'm out of luck because finding the proper case is... er... impossible

See, there you go. You just showed us initiative. Good for you, a case is not always the answer.

Oh, and

Okay, kids. Don't make me pull this car over! You each stick to your own seats, and don't cross the invisible line down the middle...

OK I have contacted HP. Due to e-mail server issues (mine :( ) the e-mail did not get through properly.

However, I used the nifty HP live chat support :D and got a quick response. HP sent me a package today (after chatting the day before last) for me to send my iPaq in. I told them I want the D-pad replaced, the plastic casing replaced, the battery cover replaced, and the metal casing as well. I also mentioned the unit was 8) fully functional. Hehehe I hope they don't throw a new screen in there or something 8O

Now, who wants to guess how much that is gonna cost me?

Thanks for suggestions on the case but now I'm just going to get rid of the scratches and marks--and as of this morning small dents--altogether. Oh what a wonderful world :D
