I know it might not be appropriate to post this topic here (forgive me, I'm a newbie) but I was wondering (pessimistically :( ) if any SD Hard drive (like an IBM Microdrive but in an SD/MMC Card slot) or SD Modems (not ethernet cards or Wi-Fi/802.11) are currently available? (I know there are such devices for CompactFlash slots) If not are any planned for development/release in the near future? I just think that the use of flash memory is dismally inadequate for use of what is essentially a pc. Sure it might be ok for Palm users, but wouldn't it be great to tote around up to 10GB hard-disk with thousands of songs, a few DVD movies, and innumerable applications and documents on your pocket pc? Anyway, any thoughts welcome.

No, SD cards are too small at the moment to feature spinning disks for that kind of storage. And there are no SD modems either because they are yet again too small. There is however a 1gb SD card.

Maybe in the future?
