I want an app to power off, soft reset and hard reset (not essential), freeware if possible.

I did a search and found several but I'm not confident, PHM Power Toys seems great but I don't want all that bundled stuff it brings with.

I have an iPaq 2210 (WM2003), if you're using something for such purposes, please tell.

Thanks in advance.

Wisbar advanced has an option to add a custom button with the ability to power off - I use that.

You can also add a button to do a reset aswell.

I'm not sure of any software that would allow you to hard reset the device.

Here is the one I like... it resides on the bottom bar...

Also try HandyMenu (http://www.handango.com/PlatformProductDetail.jsp?siteId=1&jid=4XF154AB7C87A9X7EF66XEB1D749489B&productId=79935&optionId=1_2_2&productType=2&catalog=30&txtSearch=handymenu&sectionId=0&platformId=2). Not free, but for $3 it's pretty close....

Sorry about the late answer but I was asleep when you asked.

This site has poweroff and other useful stuff http://www.scottandmichelle.net/scott/cestuff.html

Pocket Toolman has it all: http://www.handango.com/PlatformProductDetail.jsp?siteId=1&jid=FDF147EBXBX9C9E3C843F4XFDBXFB1XC&zsortParams=true&productId=34928&optionId=1_2_2&productType=2&catalog=30&txtSearch=pockettoolman&sectionId=0&platformId=2

Version 1 was freeware so you may want to try to find it. However, the commercial version appears to have a few extras.

None of those did a hard reset, though, right?

If you want Suspend, Soft Reset and Hard Reset, try Philippe Majerus' Task Manager (http://www.phm.lu/Products/PocketPC/TaskMgr). It doesn't include all of the stuff that Power Toys does, and can do a hard reset.

I will say that I've never used it to hard reset a Pocket PC, so I don't know if it works or not. :)

Pocket Toolman can do a hard reset. I have not tried it but there is a menu option for this.

HandyMenu will do off, soft reset, and hard reset functions - it's quite nice.
