Omega One's Battery Pack 2004 was shown as being 25% off= 14.99 on Sunday and Monday. When I tried to check out it said 19.99. So I didn't complete the sale. Emailed sales@handango, they read it...but no reply.

Now the 25% off is gone.

Go to Pocketgear.com they are head and shoulders above Handango in the customer service dept. It really doesn't matter who is bigger if the service stinks.

Handango has been a pretty decent site for me, and it's nice to link there from pocketpcthoughts.....

Just ticks me off that they won't give me an answer. If it was a store, and they had 14.99 on the shelf, and it wrang up 19.99, they would definately give it to you for 14.99.

I may still buy battery pack 2004 for 19.99, but definately not from handango.

for awhile I thought handango was the only place you could get battery pack, because the developers website takes you to handango to order, but after checking, I see you can purchase at pocketgear also, and maybe even some other sites.

I really prefer handango's site appearence etc., others on this site have indicated they won't buy from handango. Hopefully for handango they don't further ignore me, although I'm sure the few bucks I spend there don't really matter.

I've also seen a at least one complaint here about handango that got resolved after awhile.

Isn't it Pocketgear.com that pushes porn apps to every screen?

While it is true that Pocketgear has adult material it has NEVER sent me to PORN at anytime. I may like Handango's layout but I don't like their customer service.

Pocketgear has done right by me and I have to go back to Handango for software updates on apps that don't use registration codes to keep my software going from my original orders.

Don't forget the local bookstore sells Playboy, Penthouse and other interesting titles and so doe the mini-mart.

I didn't mean to say that they send porn, but I know others have complained that some of the software ads that show up while browsing the catalog were a bit border-line. It can be offensive when you don't expect to see that - for both adults and children who might stumble onto the site. Maybe they have changed the practices since those reports?

I'm totally disatified with Handgo .... I bought OmegaOnes Battery Pack from them which is supposed to have lifetime upgrades but Handgo has decided I have exceeded my download limit when I log into my account ...... no problem with Pocket Gear and the updates for Journal Bar that I bought from them.

JonnoB, sorry about that. There was a thread on another forum discussing that Handango had removed "adult" material and how it was a good thing and it was immoral and all that.

I guess it would be nice if sites like Pocketgear and Handango would allow people to select in their profiles the categories of products and make the over 18 rule to view/purchase adult oriented material. Now adult material is alot of different things to alot of different people. I haven't been offended on either site, but then again I don't spend hours on them.

As a side note I will email a suggestion to the Pocketgear folks about setting up profiles so that banner ads and such that may have over 18 material be restricted to those who don't care if they see it/ want to see it and those who don't.

But anyway Handango tends to go high and mighty with no customer service and I have been on the the receiving of both sites CS and Pocket Geat took far better care of me.

Well, as I said - I hadn't been to PocketGear in a long time, so I just went. Guess what, the first ad that showed up along the left side was for Pocket Strip Poker II. I am no child, but what if I were? They should take some responsibility for what they present. As a return customer (cookies), they would know my age from previous purchases. I could opt-in to such things. I'll stick to handandgo for now.

It's not just a problem for kids. I usually browse several sites every day while I am at work. I avoid PocketGear because I don't want stuff like that popping up on my work monitor.

It's not just a problem for kids.

I am an adult, but was just as offended. It is hard to tell others why/how that is, so I always talk about the kids. Regardless of how they might feel about this topic as adults, exposing kids to that material shouldn't ever be the by-product of this kind of advertising. I consider it highly irresponsible. Some sing the praises of PocketGear so I hope they change that tactic so I can come back as a customer.

When it says that you exceeded your download limit, does it prompt you for the credit card used to purchase the software? I've had this happen as well, it is just a security measure so that you can't just share your handango account with hundreds of people.
