<div class='os_post_top_link'><a href='http://coxion.com/tuotteet/webbook.html' target='_blank'>http://coxion.com/tuotteet/webbook.html</a><br /><br /></div>"WebBook™ is the ultimate mobile computer, it's the first of a kind mobile computer with build-in GPRS modem, running on Microsoft CE.Net operating system. WebBook™ is the combination of great features that are common with other popular product formats. It's got PDA's instant usability with 1 second startup, touches and continuous battery life of 6 hour. (2 hour with GPRS connection on), while it also have best features of small and light laptops, like QWERTY keyboard and bright, high resolution 800 x 480 screen."<br /><br /><img src="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/images/web/2003/parekh-20040224-CoxionWebBook.jpg" /><br /><br />Looks very nice. I don't like the battery life, though. Give me a HPC-sized device that will give me 6 hours with GPRS always on... and then you've got a deal. :)

I like it. I'm a big fan of the sub-notebook form factor. I'd really love a Tablet PC that size.

I like the form factor but...

With CE.NET I think the list of available applications would be rather thin for a general purpose device like this. No MS Office apps - only viewers according to the specs. Very few developers are targeting CE.NET, most are using the Pocket PC environment. Perhaps as more apps are developed using .NET cf we'll see more device portability, but for now I think you'd be stuck with what comes in the box.

This thing would've been cool 3 years ago. With today's devices, it's underwhelming for many reasons:

1. Screen doesn't take up the entire footprint.
2. No 802.11b/g
3. No bluetooth
4. A 7" screen like that should provide at least 1024x600 resolution.
5. Battery life is too short.
6. Screen doesn't fold around for a tablet mode.
7. WinCE.NET. No thanks.
8. Weighs 27 ounces! That's way too much for a device like this... it should be half that.
9. Uses a 206 MHz StrongARM CPU.

BTW, here are the specs: http://coxion.com/tuotteet/pdf/webbook.pdf

OMG!!! Why are they making ANOTHER mini PC device? OQO, then that web thingy, then that mini whatsitsname... LOL what are they thinking? The 1% they might of had is now divided into many parts so they get about... 0.3% Lol this is very funny

It was actually launched last year, that's why it looks "outdated" already.

I wish we had money to throw at these people, I'd love a useful one of these. Something with a 500 mhz processor, 128 megs of ram, 1024x600 screen, screen that covers the entire footprint as was said, wireless capabilities, and some other things... It would be incredible. As it is, though... I don't see the use of it, except for with really un-demanding customers.

I don't know if they make them anymore but my heart was set on a Sony Picture Book at one time... what a great looking little device... sort of a subnotebook with a built-in camera... 1024x480 screen... etc...

I loved that little machine... I just wish I had the money at the time to buy one...

Why don't you get one of the UX models? Keypad, camera, high-res, MP3's, etc.

Fujitsu is definitely making some nice mobile devices these days!

Judging by the looks of it, it would've been a nifty device back in 1982. Tops. :?

Hell, a 5-year old Toshiba Libretto beats the snot out of this in usability... What the hell were they thinking?? This would have been cool three years ago, yes, but at an unacceptable price point and feature set, so why even bother bringing it out now?....
