Does anyone know if the new Hitachi 4GB CF microdrive will work on the 2215? I'm looking for storage for mp3's and it sounds perfect. I looked up compatibility on Hitachi's site and it shows the Ipaq 5400 series...
Thanks for the help!

that means their site hasnt been updated. If the drive is cf, it will work.

Most likely, it will. Note, though, that you really want to get a "caching" MP3 playback program. Using a Microdrive with WMP will cause the drive to spin constantly, which will eat your battery very rapidly.

Is there a good "caching" mp3 playback program or would I be better off buying an ipod for the same price as a 4GB CF card?

PocketMVP has a Microdrive mode which will cache the song into memory. There are likely others as well.
