I was wondering if anyone knew how to map a Windows SMB connection using an IP address?

I can map a drive by using the computer name (ie. \\computer\share), but I can't seem to use Resco File Explorer to do the same thing but with an IP address or domain name instead (ie. \\192.168.0.2\share)

Are there any Pocket PC programs that can map drives using a remote IP address?

Thanks for any tips!

Noone has any ideas? Is there no way to connect to a remote computer's files using an IP address? What about VPN or FTP?

I'm not sure if it'll work but you can try netuse and see if that will let you use ip addresses instead of the netbios name.

I'll give it a shot and see what happens. Thanks for your help!
