That's, of course, my not-so-humble opinion. But, in the words of good 'ol Dr Phil: "Don't substitute my judgement for yours!" so let me explain why PicturePassword appeals to me."<br /><br />"PicturePassword was actually written for me. Not literally, of course, but for folks like me who want and need password protection but not the hassle of keying in at least four digits every time you turn your PDA on. One click on a “secret” spot in a nice picture will Open Sesame!"<br /><br />If you are fed up with the regular password mechanism, then give it a go. There's also a free version available at the <a href="http://www.softava.com/">SoftAva site.</a> Check it out.

One thing that usually bothers me with these alternative security programs: Does it let thru alarms and reminders or do you always have to first log in? The review doesn't mention this at all.

I downloaded it when I read the first mention on PocketPCThoughts. I like it -- I like it a lot.

And to anwer your question, it does let alarms through.

You should ask them to do a PPC Thoughts customised version for people to grab here...they say it's free to setup...we should have a competition to do a nice login image for it...

What does everyone think?

I tried LogoLogin for PocketPCFreewares and yes, I can confirm it lets the alarm screen appear to dismiss or snooze your alarm.

It is not validated yet.
One of us tries and then others confirm there is no mistake. And as always, it is french-only for now. If you are curious, it's here (http://www.pocketpcfreewares.com/index.php?soft=925).

Can anyone confirm that it does NOT load on any Ipaq 5000 series?? Am I the only one?

Thanks
Thanos

There's also a free version available at the SoftLava site. (http://www.softava.com/) Check it out.

That should be SoftAva (note the lack of the L). Your url was correct but the link wasn't.
