I've not heard of Merit (http://meritline.com/25sedisdmeca.html) before, but $65.99 for a 256meg card seems like a pretty good price. Anybody used these?

Moot point. I found Sansdisk for $61 with shipping. :D

Um, I would advise that you stay away from Sandisk - they are known for extreme unreliability and they often die within 6 months.

There have been lots of points and complaints on this board because of Sandisk; I don't know if you want to go through and read some of them - but stay away from Sandisk!

Sandisk is, without a doubt, the most popular brand of memory card available. That means that you will probably see a higher percentage of complaints in the forums about their cards. I have been using Sandisk products almost exclusively, and have really never had any problems with them. My only advise: back up your cards occasionally, you never know what might happen!

Thanks for the feedback. I've used Sansdisk before without issue. I'll cross my fingers that my luck holds.

I believe BrestBuy has a sale on the 256 sandisks right now, $60 after rebates (25 instant and 15 mailin), and 256 sandisks CF is $50 after the same rebates. :D
