Problem with VOICE MAIL releasing-on IMATE XDAII and GPRS connecting

I am having problem with Voice Mail releasing the voice mail tab on top next to phone signals. Despite listening to message and deleting and exiting--I keep getting message that voice mail is waiting. I have removed and replaced SIM card and done multiple soft resets. I am on ATT.

I am trying to avoid Hard Reset. Now I tried to connect to GPRS which worked perfectly until now and it's not connecting.
