Is there some way to make your Start menu more like the one in XP? You know, green, and the word Start is in it? Maybe? Maybe free?

Thanks guys!

Wis bar. All you gotta do is skin it. Google it you will find what you need.

You could go the complete WinXP experience with Vindows (http://www.handango.com/PlatformProductDetail.jsp?productType=2&optionId=1_2_2&jid=XF91487BA73C2E3A9EFX459F7383EF88&platformId=2&siteId=1&productId=31304&sectionId=0&catalog=30&txtSearch=XP)

As mentioned before... for simply an XP "look", the freeware WISBar and ICBar will do a nice job.

If you are willing to spend a little money ($13.99), SnoopSoft's Dashboard (recently updated) has some nice XP-inspired skins made by Juni.

For a little LESS money ($9.99), you can get PPX and use one of my Windows-inspired UIs... or Linux.

(see the link in my sig for additional information and screenshots)

Both dashboard and PPX offer free demos, so you can try them out and see how they work for you. No matter which you end up with, you'll be more productive and you'll get more enjoyment from your device. IMO anyways. ;)

Thanks guys! I think I'll stick with Wisbar for now, being free and all :D. Thanks.

Don't forget to check out the freeware Wisbar Advance ! It skins the top and bottom bar.

See awesome skins at: http://koti.welho.com/kruohio/wa.html

Awfully cool 'Scuba' is my favorite.

Iron Guy talked me into it last weekend and it's operating stably for a solid week of heavy use. No runs, no drips, no resets.

I've been running Wisbar and like it. Using it, plus Resco File Explorer, plus Scott Seligman's "Launcher" (also freeware) ends up giving a good interface for file management, program launching, etc.

It's not quite clear to me, from your quote, and from the web site you mention, exactly what the difference is between Wisbar and Wisbar Advance.
Could you please explain?

Anyone reading here use Vindows? Comments? Looks interesting.
