MS Money for PPC

I am in the UK and use MS Money 2004 on my desktop. I have installed Money for PPC but it does not synchronize all my accounts. It misses out my main checking account and a foreign currency cash account.

I am told that by default only those account types that will be synchronized are the ones whose account registers can be synchronized.

How do I make sure that my missing accounts will be synchronized?

Is there a difference in the types of accounts that are synching and the ones that are not? Is there something unique about the 2 that aren't synching?

I also use MSMoney 2004 and MSMoney for PPC and can synch all of my accounts with no issues. I currently synch:

2 Bank accounts (one checking and one savings)
1 Credit account (Amex)
5 Investment accounts (various types, 401k, college savings, etc...)

One other question: are you sure they aren't synching or are they just not viewable on your Today screen? In your Today screen options you can choose which accounts appear. You can go to the Options command in your ActiveSync client and view the Settings of your MSMoney synching. This will allow you to activate (or deactivate) individual account synching.

Thanks for your thoughts.....have you any others?

The only attribute for the ones not synchronizing is that they are the ones which have the most transactions. My every-day checking account, foreign currency and my cash wallet.

Unfortunately they are not on my Today screen - my other accounts are.

I intended using these everyday accounts on my PDA when travelling and would have deactivated most of my other ones as I do not use them when travelling.

Any other thoughts? All suggestions welcome.

Money for PPC doesn't handle foreign currency accounts at all. For the other accounts, check that you've told Active Sync to include them (Options, Settings).

FWIW, I got fed-up with the limitations of Money for PPC, and I'm now using Cash Organizer with their Money Sync product - foreign currency accounts included!

Thanks for all suggestions. They helped me by giving me a clue as to how to get all my accounts on my PDA.

I installed Pocket PC Money 2004 on my wife’s PDA and having connected it to my Desktop, synchronised her PDA with my Desktop money. I did not show her what I had in the bank :wink:

Guess what happened? All accounts were synchronised including the ones that did not synchronize with my PDA.

I then uninstalled Pocket PC Money from my PDA and desktop and reinstalled completely including overwriting all files.

We are there….all accounts now show up on my PDA.

I quickly uninstalled Pocket PC Money from my wife’s PDA so she still does not know how much is in my bank account :wink:
