View Full Version : What's on your Today screen?

I wonder if you all would be kind enough to share with me, and the rest of the community, what you keep running as a Today screen plug-in?
You see, I've never been mistaken for a creative thinker. As a result, I have a tough time coming up with cool ideas for my Today screen in order to personalize my PPC. Plus, since I've rarely gotten a look at other user's front screens, I really have no idea whether I'm doing a good job so far with my screen or not.
So, if you've got a second, would you all be kind enough to post a screen shot of your front page? Or, at least throw out a brief listing of what plug-ins you're using, and in what order you have them seated on your Today screen? And, please state what your overall favorite is of all the plug-ins you're using.
Thanks, Everyone!

I've played with my Today screen for months and months, going through countless configurations.
I've settled on this (for now anyways):
Launcher (http://www.scottandmichelle.net/scott/cestuff.html)
StatusTicker (http://www.scarybearsoftware.com/ppc_st_overview.html)
PI Today (http://www.pitoday.de.vu/)
Battery Plus (http://www.omegaone.com/PocketPC/BatteryPack.html)

BTW, here (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=9762&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0) is an old thread about this. Too bad there are so many broken links. :(

Here's mine:
http://www.mybunny.org/images/capture1.jpg
It's gotten a bit busier than I like lately.
The programs I'm using, in order are:
Icbar Advanced to skin the top bar (using bits and pieces of various skins)
Running programs on top bar (from left to right): TextMaker, PI 5, ListPro 4 and Personal Health and Diet Manager.
My main today plug-in is Snoopsoft Dashboard 2.0 Beta, with a skin of my own design. The icons on the left are for Agenda, Tasks, Inbox, Launcher and Contacts. The active "page" is indicated by a full circle around the icon.
The programs on the mini-launcher on top are (from left to right):
ActiveSync, Resco Explorer 2003, ListPro 4.0, MasterSoft Money, Pocket MVP, System Info, TextMaker, Gowerpoint Ubook and Pocket Player 2.5.
The very bottom bar icons are (from left to right):
Bluetooth Manager, HandyMenu, PI 5, Pocket Mechanic, GPXSonar (for geocaching), PIE and iPaq Wireless.

Hi rwolf
The program Steven is using is called "OwnerInfoX" and is a free program. Nice to have and makes your Today Screen more distinctive.
Try searching Handigo for it or it can be found at www.mypdacafe.com

Yup! Great program! If can be found here. (http://www.mypdacafe.com/~sillycat/ownerinfox.php) Although it states that it is for Pocket PC 2000/2002, it works perfectly on my WM2003 device!

How do you post screen images without a URL link?

I'd like to know that as well.
How DO you post screen images without a URL?!
(that way, the links to the images won't be broken when someone goes through the thread several months later)

We currently don't have image uploading turned on here. :| This may change in the future, but for now you must host it elsewhere.

Steve, what are you using for displaying upcoming alarms?
That plug in is pTravelAlarm by Burr Oak. (http://www.burroak.on.ca/pta2.html) Oh, and it only displays alarms set in pTravelAlarm! (in case you were wondering)
