No doubt this is just one more manifestation of 'the MS/HP WM2003 alarm issue'. But I thought I'd post it in case anyone can offer any insights please.

This morning at about 07:30 I entered a new task in Outlook, with a reminder set at 09:30 today. My PPC (which was cradled) sounded the reminder at 08:00. I used Dismiss to silence it. Then checked Outlook, in case I'd made a mistake - but, no, 09:30 was set. I then checked the task on the PPC and that was indeed set for 08:00.

I believe the default reminder time for tasks on PPC is 8am. I don't think changing the time on desktop pc has any impact as just the task and whether a reminder is set is synchronized - not the time itself.

Thanks, Andy. Yes, it occurred to me a bit later that the cause was down to the Tasks design limitation rather than the 'alarms issue'. You can change the fixed time somewhere. (I'm temporarily parted from my PPC - left it in my shed, in its role as jukebox - or I'd check.)
