I'm lazy enough to make this post, but not lazy enough to turn it into a poll. Which one of these Michigan Tech. snow sculptures is your favorite?

Wow! Those are cool. I can't believe how huge they are. No favorites for me. They are all very impressive works of art. Is there anything under the ice/snow or is that solid water all the way through?

Based on the earlier photos, I'd say it's pure snow and (mostly) ice. I think they using a process not too different from pouring concrete into forms.

Very impressive! Elsewhere on the site I saw some "in progress" photos. This is clearly a very organized event - they had scaffolding!

I like the campus-crusade. Quite a bit of detail and imagination.

Nice but I like the World Ice Art Championship (http://www.icealaska.com/) better. If you are ever in Fairbanks during March you must check this out.

It IS better, but Michigan Tech's is a bunch of geeks without a budget. Neat to see what cabin fever will drive them to.

You know, if I didn't hate snow and cold weather so much, I might find these really creative and pretty.

Instead I find them cold and a sign of my least favorite season.. winter.
maybe i'll come around...
