Alternative to Windows Outlook?

I like how everything is managed on my pocket pc and I don't need new PIM software on it, but Outlook on the PC looks a little overwhelming and I would like some other software that looks more like a paper organizer. Is there any other windows software that synchs up with PocketPC? Thanks!

I looked at Franklin but since it plugs into Outlook, it's still the same interface (from what I could see)
