I need to connect the Axim X3 to a vending machine that has a Male RS232 port for data downloading.
Thanks everyone

Did you call dell to see if they can offer you one?

If there is an X3 serial cable, it will be a sync cable, designed to hook to a PC serial port. It will have a female end on it, but there is a high likelyhood that you will need a null-modem adapter to use it in your application. I am assuming your vending machine normally connects to a serial port on a laptop. You will likely also need some sort of terminal program, VT100 emulator or something. I recommend vxHPC by www.cam.com
There is a serial cable for the X5 BTW, but I am not sure about the X3.
