What's your 'Must Have App'?

So, your IPAQ gets wiped completely and you have to start from scratch, what is the first App you install or what App do you think you couldn't live without? And I don't want to hear Activesync/Intellisync or any other Sync, that's a given!

The very first thing I install is Resco Explorer. It's functionality makes the loading of everything else easier.

Second comes Dashboard and Pocket Informant. I've grown accustomed to the way Dash works and find it cumbersome to not have my minilauncher. I' used PI for 4 years and am very used to it.

After that it's uBook. I read A LOT! On the bus to and from work, at lunch, etc.

Right after Resco Explorer comes SK CabInstl (http://s-k.al.ru/wincepdaru.html#ci). I then, using Resco Explorer, associate cab files with CabInstl and proceed to install other apps directly from cab files I keep on a dedicated CF card.
First of these apps is Two Peaks FlexWallet (http://www.twopeaks.com/Main/software/flexwallet/) which has all my registration codes. Then comes Textware Solutions Fitaly (http://www.fitaly.com/wince/pocketpcfitaly.htm), because I can't use the built in keyboard to enter my reg codes anymore.
Now I can continue installing Agenda Fusion, Icbar, iGuidance, Spb Imageer, µBook, etc. (complete list of apps in sig link)

Normally Resco File Explorer or tAgenda first but the one app I couldn't go without is eWallet!

That may change to Virtual Pool 3 Mobile when it's released though! ;)

Definitely I would load Sprite Pocket Backup first. If it had been on the user's PPC before the crash, he or she could just restore to 'before the crash state' in an instant. Nifty!!

Ditto - I install exactly the same apps, in the same order. There are more after that, but these are the really important ones.

Another thing I do is keep a text file in ROM with all of my serials.

lLike many people. I would normally just restore from my backup.

If I was starting from scratch I would include Pocket Informant, MobiPocket Reader and Total Commander in the first batch of programs I install. And Backup Plus of course. :D

Well I normally restore from my standard Install. Which has no data (only apps and games) update it with all the latest versions of the apps.

The thing I most like about Sprite Backup is that my standard install has about 30mb of SD Card games on it.

Hmmm...I feel like I'm missing out on this one. Does this restore apps only or does it restore email and communication settings as well? Is this already on my PPC or is it a program I have to buy?

It restores everything. On the Ipaqs (not sure which ones have it though) it's listed as Ipaq Backup. If yours doesn't have it, you can get a copy from Sprite (http://www.spritesoftware.com/products/sprite_backup.html) for around $20.00

1) Resco File Explorer

2) Pocket Backup Plus by Sprite Software (some here call it 'Sprite Backup').

3) Agenda Fusion

4) Bible Reader+ by OliveTree (and ESV Bible)

5) Stop Time by Jonathan Sachs (for 'Bug Me' style reminder note alarms)

6) apReminderPlus by AP Soft Systems (brings repeat alarms to PPC 2002)
