I bought a Dell Axim X5 last March. I have anjoyed owning a PocketPC and found it very useful, but I had two major problems with the X5 (sticky navigation pad making games impossible to play, and an apparently common backup battery problem where it would consume a full backup battery in 24 hours).

Needless to say, I want another PocketPC. Obviouslly not an X5 (and it's put me off Dell, so I won't go for an X3 unless it's a vast improvement).

What would people recommend for someone who is not too concerned with price but values quality. I would prefer a smaller device to the X5, and I would like Bluetooth and 802.11b. I purchased quite a few games, so good graphics performance would be a plus.

Sounds like a 4150 to me...

You're still in waranty, the backup battery problem is sufficient to qualify you for a replacement, why don't you have Dell send you a new one? No wonder you're unhappy if you've been using a broken one all this time!

Of course I understand the desire to upgrade but a replacement won't cost you anything and at least you'll have a working one while you decide.

I did get it replaced, in fact the replacement arrived today but there's something wrong with it's screen (I have to press the stylus much harder than I had to with the previous unit). So this one's got to go back too

bgate: I had a look at the 4150 and you're right, it looks like that's exactly what I'm looking for. Thanks!
