Topic,
I pull 670 on BMQ right now.
INT is 1380
memmory is 1400
I want a PDA that will play emulators a little better.
I won't get an A620 because I already have the Benq G250 gamepad for my 3955, and I would be unwilling to give it up for games.
I might give that up... but I would really want to be able to use my sleeves.
any sudgestions?

how the hell can you have 1400 memory? Also, what is BMQ and INT?

oh sorry
BMQ is a benchmark.
INT= integer, just the score on that benchy.
Memory is just the memory score using that benchy.

oooooo. Ok. Now were speaking the same language. Buy a 4155, or a 5555. They both have the same connector as the 3900 for your gamepad, and the 5555 takes expansion packs. They both have integrated wifi, bt, and 400mhz processors. The 5555 has 128mb ram, 48 rom. the 4155 has 64 ram, 32 rom. I cant personally compare the 2, because my 5555 hasnt arrived yet. The 4155 was a very nice unit. I can imagine that the 5555 is even nicer. Look on pricegrabber.com, shopping.yahoo.com, and shopper.com for lower prices. (usually $50-$100+ off of the retail price on those sites.)
i almost forgot. The ipaq 2215 is very fast, has the same connector, 64 ram, 32, rom. Cf and sdio slots. small form, and low price. (integrated bt only)

hmm, okay then
is the 5555 better at games and graphics? The 2215 looks fast but doesn't really benchmark any higher than mine with write-back caching on in WM2003.
Is anyone getting near perfectly snes emulation with any of the Ipaqs?
Mine can do some games near full speed, and others are a trifle slow.

the snes (and all emus) will be faster on any of the units i mentioned than on your 3955. I have ran snes emus at very close to full speed. (very playable)

Okay, any idea which one is the absolute fastes.
Maybe you can tell me after you get your 5555.

Id imagine the 5555 is faster. More rom and more ram will speed things up. Also, you can use ultra high speed cf cards with the exp packs for fast data transfer. I also think that the 5555 will be more compatable with your gamepad. The 4150 and 2215 dont use sleves.
By the way, I believe you owe me a cookie. (look at the 2nd post) :D

check your browser, it'll be thier shortly.
check this out though
here is a ipaq5555 benched with BMQ
Using BMQ, the INT bench give the following:
400Mhz: 1140
528Mhz: 1534
My ipaq hits 1400 no problem at 472mhz.
How is the 5555 actually faster?
is it some graphics chip thing.

Well, maybe I will wait for an Ipaq as powerful as the a620. Hopefully it'll use my sleeves.

the processor bus is 100mhz faster. Screw benchmarks. In the real world the highest clock speed mixed with the highest bus speed will win. Your ipaq has a 100mhz bus. The 5555 has a 200mhz bus. If you overclock the 5555 you can get the clock speed to 472mhz, and the bus to 250+mhz. Th 5555 will win against the 3900. The 5555 also has a graphics processor. (i think)

Are you sure the 4xxx will take the 39xx sleeves?
Maybe your talking about something else but I... I don't... Think that it will :?

it wont take the sleves. I had a 4155. Trust me, there is no way.

Why can't the Asus A620 have these accesories?!
If the A620 had a PCMCIA expansion, i would buy one in a hot minute.

I don't see what the big hubub is over the 2215. my PDA runs Super Street Fighter 2 better than that. That could be because I am using write back caching (which greatly increases memory bandwidth) and wm2003.
The Asus looks a bit smoother though.
