Before the release of this software, it was not possible to watch Flash movies on the small screen of a Pocket PC because the Flash movie could only be played in a portrait mode - the full screen size of the Pocket PC could not be used. With Bryht Flash Player, Flash movies are viewable using the full screen of the Pocket PC. The text and picture becomes much clearer. This is very important for viewing the text of flash courses or subtitles of flash music videos.

• Landscape full-screen mode
• Frame random seek
• Fine tuning of the movie size ( in 10% zoom steps )
• Watch flash movies frame by frame
• Playlist
• Skinnable, supports standard SVG format skin file
• Key Mapping, also supports special key mapping for flash games
• Display on/off
• Free upgrades

Here's what's new in 2.0:

• Portrait full-screen mode
• Convert PowerPoint documents to flash files(Desktop PC)
• Search flash files in Internet Explorer cache(Desktop PC)
• Search flash files on local disk(Desktop PC)

$14.95 for something that Flash Player (http://www.macromedia.com/software/flashplayer/pocketpc/2002.html) and AntMobile FlashAssist (http://www.antmobile.com/) can do (both of which are FREE)?!

Hmmm...

Well, except for that PowerPoint conversion thing...

Actually, the CORRECT url for Macromedia Flash Player for the various devices is - http://www.macromedia.com/software/devices/products/pocketpc/downloads/ - AND while the demo for the great AntMobile FlashAssist is free, it costs $14.95 to register it. Anthony's site is - http://www.antmobile.com - so if you like his software, don't stiff him, pay for it.

And why is it when someone, some lone developer, comes up with some software everyone whines about the price and tries to find fault with the product or with them for asking for some money? 15 bucks is not much for what you get, whether it is from Bryht or from AntMobile.

So, for a change, let's break with tradition and say thanks and show some appreciation by coughing up a few bucks for someone's hard work.

My apologies. I don't know what came over me - I usually don't speak that way about people's software.
And I was wrong about Anthony's AntMobile Flash Assist - I was quick to type the URL without recalling that he does charge (ironically, the same amount as Bryht).

Tari, you are right - there are far too many people looking to cheese out on software, and it's not right. The developers of these apps deserve to be paid for their efforts.

It was totally out of character for me to make such a statement - I usually make recommendations for apps, not trash-talk them before even trying.

I even made a considerable paypal donation recently to a developer who posts mini-apps for the Samsung i700 on PDAPhoneHome (at no charge to people). He did not solicit the $$, but I agreed with the others who had donated, and thought his efforts needed to be recognized.

My words are normally thought out, and posted without any regrets. This thread marks the first time I wish I could retract a post.

Sorry...
