Sorry folks, I know this has to have been asked before (probably countless times) but I will be darned if I can find it. I have been searching for about an hour and just decided to ask again.
What is the difference between the h4150 and the h4155. I know they are sold through different channels but for some reason everyone who sells both is asking $50 more for the h4155 but I can't find a difference in spec.
Thanks

No difference in spec, the 4150 is sold to business users, the 4155 to the general public. The only difference is what channels they're sold through. Really.

no difference. Which number do you like best, then purchase that one.

I can't say for certain, but I think the difference is more significant than simply the distribution channel. I think there are differences in the applications loaded on the machines as well.

There are no differences in the spec, the only difference will be the bundled software - usually the retail packages have a couple more free apps, but nothing ultra-critical. I'd save the $50 and order the cheaper one. ;-)

I have the 4155 and the bundled software it came with was pretty cool. WorldMate, Resco Explorer/Registry plus some encryption program and image viewer (which I didn't load)

Actually, I have found that the 5 extra is sold in the US.
For example, Americans get the HP iPaq 2215 and the Canadians get the HP iPaq 2210.
Americans get the iPaq 4155 and the Canadians get the iPaq 4150. This is if it is sold in retail stores
Ie, Futureshop (CAD) BestBuy (USA)

My Dad has the 4155 and I have the 4150 and there is no difference. This includes no difference with the bundled software, the processor, RAM, or anything else. Additionally, I know a guy who works for HP and all his co-workers and he cannot find anything within the company that differentiates between the 2. So there ya go... no difference. As stated earlier, pick the number you like best and go for it.

How do you find out which one you have? Is it through the Asset Viewer?
If so, I have a 4150 which came in a colour box. I assume this is the retail one.
No difference in spec, the 4150 is sold to business users, the 4155 to the general public.
Wouldn't the retail one be the one with the fancy packaging (e.g. colour) and the business one in a plain cardbox box?

No not necessarily. I bought an iPaq 2215 from the US and it came in a colour box. As I have said before, the Candians get the model with 5 less, EG: 2210. They also come in a colour box (friend has one)

Just an update, since I started this thread, I have decided to not purchase a 4150 or a 4155. I was all fired up to buy but happened on a review (can't remember where now) that had some close up detailed pics and I suddenly realized that the IR port is on the bottom. Ouch! Thanks to the Targus Universal Keyboard I haven't had to buy another "specific" model in over 12 devices. As far as I can tell it would be a real PITA if enen possible to use with the 4100 series.
That is a real bummer, so I guess I will stick with the 2215 until...
Until of course my Treo 600 gets here... (probably Q2 the way things are going with Palmone) :devilboy:

But I wouldnt recommend the Targus keyboard for the 4150 or the 1900 because those two PDAs are slimmer and they fall out of the keyboards grip really easly, they fall to the side aswell. Its not very good. I would recommend an HP serial plug in keyboard - (I have that one for my 2215)
