New posts tab - suggestions?

Does everybody use the new posts search tab often? To find out what news and information that have come up in the last 24 hours?

Then... if you multi-task like I do (e.g. run another search function, have your computer crash and re-log on, delete your cookies...) I find that all the search results for new posts disappears and I have to manually browse the forums. This problem happens about once a week :P

Just wondering if there's an easy way to retrieve new forum posts or have an option to manually reset the list.

No there isn't, but here is a trick that I use when this happens to me: Go to the "Search" button, in the "Search for Author" field under "Search Query" enter a *, then under "Search Options" click on the drop down box in "Search Previous" and select "1 day".

As long as you remembered where you stopped reading, you will be able to finish with the new posts. That's about all you can do for now.
