Ok, so I just finished reading (for the 2nd time) "Jingo" by Terry Pratchett. It contained probably the worst pun I've ever read:
"Pavlovian Response: A term invented by the wizard Denephew Boot* who had found that by a system of rewards and punishments he could train a dog, at the ringing of a bell, to immediately eat a strawberry meringue."
Ok, here's the pun:
(Are you ready?)
(It's pretty bad - are you SURE?)
Ok, you asked for it:
*His parents, who were uncomplicated country people, had wanted a girl. They were expecting to name her Denise.
