I'd like to start developing apps for PocketPC, buuut... Can you give me some links to resources about it for beginners? FAQs, HOWTOs, etc. are welcome.

Thanks :-)

Take a look at this thread (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=23656), and this thread (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=19218), and this thread (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=14276).

One should ALWAYS search a forum to see if someone else has asked a question before adding the question to the forum. If you have done that and STILL didn't find a helpful answer then feel free to ask again, or to pose the question differently.

GOOD LUCK!

Ahh, c'mon.

Always?!

I do that when I'm looking for something specific, but sometimes the search results are too overwhelming to be useful. I could spend a long time reading through long threads, or, I could just pose a new question myself. There's a place for searching the discussion threads, and there's a place to just pose a question irrespective of whether it's been asked before.

And especially for a Neophyte, it's easier to just ask and be directed -- such as what you helpfully did for eclipsed (that's great - thanks!).

ESPECIALLY the Neophyte SHOUD READ FIRST before asking the same question that thousands of others have ALREADY ASKED!!!

And doing a search for 'getting started' in the developer section I don't consider too difficult.

:takethat:

P.S. AND that's ALSO why we should have a FAQ (or sticky topics) that are a collection of such NEW USER goodies (and reference for the old timers).
