Help - Installation of Downloaded fiels via networked pc

I'vejust changed jobs and my new pC is networked. The system administrator has installed activesynch for me - so I can link up callenders via outlook - great.

However - when I download any programme files and try to execute them to install on to my Ipaq2210 it won't let me.

The download files exist but wont execute - I would have thought that as the installation was to the PDA not the PC that network priviledges would not be an issue or am I wrong. Do the .exe files create an install file on the pc that is causing the problem?

Is there a way around without involving the systems administrator

Since Activesync, as it's installed at your site, requires Admin rights, you can always establish a (permanent or Guest) partnership with another PC just for the purposes of installing applications.
