How to read/write to ROM

Can anyone tell me how to read and write to IPAQ ROM? What program to use and where to get it.

Unless it's flash ROM, you can't. And Flash ROM shows up as another storage card in the OS, so it would be obvious if you needed to access that.

I actually would like to flash my IPAQ rom so to change the language of OS to English. I currently have a chinese version Pocket PC 2003 on H4150, that I would like to make English.

Umm... Sounds like a complicated process.

Anyway, wonder if anyone has tried it on the H4100 series successfully. Hate to be the guinea pig who stuffs up the machine first time round!

i wish that there would be a way to erase the files which you dont need from the rom. this could leave us more space
