:?: Ah! Hmm.
Hmmm. Camera compatibility might be an issue for me. If I were braver (and wealthier!)... I thought about it and decided against it.

Mine is on order along with a presentation pack for my e805 in case they try to manufacture a nonremovable drive. What camera do you have? The MD will work on most, but many have a 2GB limit so you'd be wasting a lot of space.
There is a store in the UK that has the 4 GB MuVo2 in stock and it definitely has the removable MD. It is a lot more than the US price though, but here's the link.

Search for MuVo 2, not MuVo2 or it doesn't show up. Wish me luck on my extraction with the new batch. ;)

:D Luck!
The camera is a Sony DSCF828 - I haven't established if it would handle 4G or not though...
Can you post pics once you have performed the "operation"?
Go slowly!

The 828 supports the 4 GB MD. In fact, the first person I read about trying this used that exact same camera. How do you like the 828? I have a 717 and haven't made the jump. I'll gladly post some pics, but it may be awhile since it has to be shipped twice. In the meantime, I'll dig up a link with pics of the extraction and using the MD in the 828.

Woo Hoo. That's handy - I've just placed my order so should be done by the weekend
The F828 - I have been waiting for it for ages - I've had a DSC85 for two years now that has served me very well; but the CF form was the swinger for me.
It arrived on Tuesday and blew my socks off within 10 minutes :D I had been a little concerned given the reports it got from DPR et al - but then I read a review by someone (Luminescence??) that swayed me - glad I read it, it is a fantastic camera. Especially for the cost - if you consider that is what I payed for the 85 two years ago!
Re the 717 - if I had one, the only reason for moving would be the CF - I have no real need of the extra 3M resolution, but I'm not giving it back, you understand:;):
www.andymack - nice site!
How do you establish that it is definitely the correct MuVo 2? Is there a range of serial numbers at all / what have you, as I ordered from Dabs rather than CA :?:
