I'm eagerly awaiting the release of this service.

However all seems quiet with little news from any source. Presumably they are going to launch either with or just after MSN 9 (plus/premium).
I've noticed a few changes around the Hotmail for pocket pc service, such as automatically going to the mobile version (don't think that used to be the case). Another thing that's change in the last month is the My MSN page has dissapeared with no content available, e.g. Weather/MSN money service. (Anyone else noticed this?)
Anyway, my main point is:
The addition of offline hotmail browsing will for me at least be a must have feature. It seems likely that this will go one of 4 routes.
1. You sync via active sync, simple and autimatic just like you do with your standard outlook inbox.
2. Sync your hotmail over a wireless conection without a desktop just like the avant go client.
3. Sync using a separate app/connector e.g like Sync and Go or 'Intellisync for MSN'
4. Be merely 'able to compose messages offline'.
Option 4 seems a worst case scenario. I'm hoping for number one, with 2 thrown in.
Regarding option 3 what result have people had with Intellisync for MSN? It works, buit I have frequen problems with duplication (especially Public Holidays).
It makes you wonder what's holding Microsoft up. MSN Premium had a lengthy beta that was fairly public, and at the very least had regular updates of news. We're getting close to Spring '04 and no news yet.
Anyone any thought/ideas?
Tom
