Is there a way to change the image the pocketPC displays during a bootup? (soft).

Are you talking about the part where the manufacturer logo is displayed or the image above your user details.
I think you can change the later, by substituting an image in your windows folder. I read it in a book a few months ago, and I can dig it out if you're interested.

I think tvalentin meant after a soft reset. Like changing the blue screen on the axim that comes up after a soft reset. That would be cool if you could. Anyone know if you can?

Yeah that's kind of more what i was after, like making a .bmp with the special color bar (ala, windows xp startup screens that you used to be able to change). I guess it's more comic value, but it would be damn nice personalization. But you made me think about the 'my info' screen and if there's a way to personlize it (fonts, colors, pictures, background, layout). scrolling info would be kinda nice, maybe scrolling tasks/alerts when you first poweron. just a brainstorm.
