At hp's website (http://www.shopping.hp.com/cgi-bin/hpdirect/shopping/scripts/home/store_access.jsp?template_type=storefronts&category=handhelds&aoid=1462) they don't have the iPAQ 1935 listed for sale any more. Does this means it's discontinued?

Looks like it to me. No surpise though. HP has had a $50 rebate on it for months. I ordered one a few weeks ago from Office Max and it took a week for them to find one. I live in Ohio and the closest one was in Seattle.

Looks like the 1945 is the only remaining member of the 1900 club.

It makes me wonder if they will ever add a unit to the 2200 series, or if they will keep on adding a series, ie: 6000, 7000.

Why would they stop selling? Its only been out for a few months.
HP is weird.

Justin,
Back in September of 2003 I asked the HP PPC Hardware manager here in NZ when the h2000 series would be discontinued. She told me June of 2004 along with the h5500 series. There haven't been any rumours of any additional units in that series. Looks like they will introduce a new series every 4 - 6 months.

She had PPC plan sitting in front of her. She even told me about the 4100 and 4300 series, but by that time we already knew about them.

Funny thing I just went to the HP site and for the 2200 they only mention a CF slot and not an SD slot. Very strange.

Paula,

Thanks for the info. I think it is funny how HP discontinues a model and brings a higher one. Their numbers are going to get ridiculous! Look at the Chevrolet Corvette, BMW 5 Series, Volvo S60, Suzuki Swift... These cars have had the same name for years, some for up to 50 years! The look of the car changes, but they dont get discontinued.

Maybe HP will resell a 2200 series in the future - whatever I guess!

I just want a future model with consumer IR. Any more than two remotes to operate an entertainment system is way to many, imo.

All I want is for HP to redesign their 4150 and make it a dual slot machine with GPS/GPRS, a slide out keyboard, 128mb Ram, 64mb Rom, 4" VGA screen with built in landscape capability. That isn't much to ask is it?

Oh and I forgot a USB host feature so I can use my Targus ultra mini optical mouse.

Now that is what I am talking about, it would be awesome! I am assuming the bt is automatically included in these specs. I do like the idea of a slide out keyboard, it would be much more convenient. Hopefully this could be done without the weight being out of control.
