so here it is...

make a tiny box that contains the following things:
1. a usb cable
2. ROM to contain a Windows driver
3. bluetooth support

the key is the Windows driver. when the box is plugged into a computer the driver installation exe is automatically run.

the driver will allow a desktop window to appear that shows the screen of the bluetooth connected pocket pc. the driver will be bidirectional in that all input commands of the desktop pc (keyboard, mouse) will be shown on the pocket pc and screen taps etc on the pocket pc will be shown on in the desktop window. the driver could include the ability to show the pocket pc content at higher resolutions as well.

THATS IT!

now my pocket pc could have a full sized keyboard, mouse, and high res screen anywhere i have a desktop. it could be used for presentations or anything else without special connectors, CF cards, etc...

WILL IT WORK???

i posted this here as well HERE (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=206142&sid=b69465077be45b78eb52892fa993d2f3)

So in essence, it's basically a bluetooth activesync with software. Well, there's already the ability to display what's on the screen of the Pocket PC on the PC, ie dotpocket (http://www.dotpocket.com), so we know that part's possible. However, I don't really know if it's feasible to have the Pocket PC running one resolution and the PC displaying the information in another. Also, running over bluetooth will be rather slow, so there will be rather poor framerate on the PC and some latency issues between the two devices.

So, it's a good idea, but the obstacles to overcome are 1.) bandwidth, 2.) dual-resolutions of the Pocket PC.

man this is absolutely a good idea which i was thinking for some time. and think of the product as bluetooth instead of usb
