Help!! I Need A Broken X5

I have come very close to destroying my X5 while making covers. The heat is getting to the case. I really, really, need a broken one that I can use as the form for molding the covers!!!!! PDAParts.com has apparantly stopped selling them. I have contacted them several times and they say the don't know when they will have cases for the X5 and don't know if they will ever make X3 cases.
Also if someone has a broken ipaq 19xx or 22xx with a good case I would be interested.

Why don't you have the PDA shape made out of metal on a CNC machine?

It would probably cost a little more than purchasing a bunch of old PDAs, plus if you are in this for the long haul, it would be worth the investment.

Not a bad idea, I know a few people who use them but not sure if they would do me the favor. I will have to check with them.

I also know someone who could use a "broken" one for parts to fix an out of warranty (too old) AX with a broken screen and perhaps other problems. When we are done fixing her's we'll send you the remainder! After you don't care if it works!

That would be great, all I need is the outer shell of it, I managed to melt the paint on mine while making covers.
