software taking over my activesync, why???

I installed Movian VPN for use with my schools wireless network on my 4150 today and every single time i activesync it with my computer i get a login screen from the stupid vpn program. On top of that, it says MovianVPN in big grey letters on top of my activesync screen on both my ppc and my pc. I cannot find any options anywhere to get rid of this. Why the hell did this program integrate itself with activesync and how to I kick its ass out without uninstalling it?
