I have a 256Mg CF card in my Dell x5 running WM2003. I had a DivX copy of The Matrix which was about 180Mg. I've deleted it through File Explorer, but the memory isn't "free". Whether I check through ActiveSync, Explore or Settings, Memory or through File Explorer, the memory is just not available.
I'm assuming if I format the card, I'll be fine, but is there a built in application for this or do I need a third party app?
Thanks!

I don't have a Dell so I can't say for sure, but I don't think there's a built-in utility to do this.
You could try CNetx 's Flash Format. There's a trial so you can try it out.

Format - v2.2 (http://www.pocketpcfreewares.com/en/index.php?soft=293) is what you need! It's simple, FREE, and does the job.

Well I would recommend Pocket Mechanic, a great program. And it also offers a free trial. http://www.handango.com/brainstore/PlatformProductDetail.jsp?siteId=311&jid=E28FFE2E62XB28C34B7F822637A9D897&platformId=2&productType=2&productId=92570§ionId=0&catalog=30

I saw JR's post and tried CNetx.....works very well and has some nice additional functionality. You can "autorun" something from your storage card with it and there are various format options (FAT16, FAT32, etc....). So....my original problem is solved but.....I'm thinking I may try the other apps that were recommended also.
Thanks to all for the help!
