Transfer of files from O2 Xphone to certain Symbian based phones may not work completely due to Digital Rights Management and incompatible file types.

Not all MIDI files are compatible as ring tones.

O2 Xphone does not support transfer of files larger than 200KB via direct Bluetooth and Infra-red. To transfer files larger than 200KB, users are advised to use ActiveSync instead.

O2 Xphone does not support beaming of files to another phone via Bluetooth.
O2 Xphone does not support Serial port profile and Handsfree profile

XDA-II or i-MATE owner, can you please confirm the above? I am planning to purchase XDA-II or i-MATE, but if the above is true, I may have to change plan.

Thanks.

There is a BT fix for being able to active sync via bluetooth and perhaps to file transfer, bu there are stiil many profiles that remain unuseable. I have not tried the BT fix, but it sounds reliable. Go to the XDA Developers web site forum and look at the BT fix thread.
I'm hoping the the 2nd ROM upgrade yet to be released (soon I hear) will resolve many of these issues and other device issues. Regardless this is a wonderfule device with lots of power. It is just a matter of time before the release of device fixes.
Good luck.

BT activesync works out of the box, BT headset works out of the box, the only reason you would have to add a small util is to use a BT GPS device. But that works well. What does not work with BT is a direct BT network connection. But I assume will be updated in a future ROM.

Go for it...the best I have ever owned and I have owned a lot!
