Howdy Jason :D
Thanks for the tip on the ppcpad, I already purchased and installed it on my Toshiba. I figure at that price why pass it up
Now to see who else is going to jump on this good deal 8)
At a 1.49 how could I not buy it :!:

As an alternative, there is a free application called apMemo:

(For anyone who doesn't have $1.50. Heh.)

I bought it without trying it out first. Now that I have, I prefer PhatPad.

It would have been nice if they had placed "New PPCPad Note" on the New menu so that I don't have to open the program first in order to create a note. And I would also like to set the thickness of the pen line, not only the color.

Anyway, at $1.49 it was a bargain. I wouldn't pay the full price because I much prefer PhatPad and other Notes programs.

Less than a box of Timbits... Not too shabby for decent software!

I jumped! I've tried a few and didn't like them. Don't know if I'll keep this one 'cause I'm still downloading.

$1.49 for lunch? WOW! I hope you get fries with that :D

I also looked for a way to thicken the ink size and discovered I was not able to. Hopefully in future upgrades they will include that. I would also like to have it on my today screen for quick writing. There may be something better out there but for the price I am not going to complain:)
As I use it more I am sure I will think of more uses to go with it.
mmm, they want your email to purchase, so they will more than likely want to know how the users are enjoying it and the experience the users are having. And of course some feed back about the software.

It will not run on my Toshiba e740. I first installed it to my SD Card - get message, "Cannot find 'PpcPad' (or one of its components). Make sure the path and filename are correct and all the required libraries are available. "

I uninstalled it, downloaded the software again, and this time installed to Main Memory. Same problem.

Any ideas before I go to their website?

Sorry to bother y'all. There are two versions and I needed PPC 2002. It works.

Ahh!!
I was having the same problem, came back here and see your post- but I had already gone ahead and purchased the PPC2003 version, site unseen.
I assume the program author will be visiting this thread to see the reaction to his s/w, so I must ask the question- will those who (errantly, without reading) purchased your software for PPC2003 be allowed to d/l the older PPC2002 version?
Thanks in advance.

I purchased this program and it is not a bad little program BUT I cannot get the alarm to work on the reminders. The green light blinks when the alarm is scheduled to go off but no sound. I have been to sounds and notification under settings and everything is checked. I have not had a problem with Pocket Informant alarms or with StopTime alarms. Any help. I know there is a alarm problem with 2003 but has there been a fix. Thanks. :(

I am in the same situation, and am wondering the same thing.

I have also purchased this app. I bought it because hey 2.00(NZ$) and I love the zoom feature. But did anyone else also have the registration not kick in right away? It says this is for security purposes and that when it does kick in the full version will be available. Is everyone experiencing this as well? If you have used the reg code, take a look at about and see if it says unregistered. If it does, this could be the reason why the alarms do not work properly.

Was about to impulse buy until i realised i already own phatpad! I don't know if anyone has compared the two yet but i assume that they're remarkably similar applications minus the integration with calligrapher?

First BIG Bug found and a small one.

I don't have very much installed on my PPC at the moment as this is a new PPC (h2215 3 weeks old) I am trying out a few things. The only thing I have loaded right now is the Sprite alarm update and now PPCPad and a very pretty Theme. I was playing with PPCPad and after I created several notes (my flashing alarm came on only after I opened the software and no sound  ) and I then deleted one of the notes, closed the app and then opened my start drop down menu and what did I find (??? !!!) It was corrupted! 8O The transparent background was gone (stark white), there were black streak marks throughout the menu and all of the letters were bold and blurry. Think of it as if someone brushed up against a wet sign and smeared the whole thing. I did a soft reset and everything was fine, but I don't like this happening. I hope the developer is reading these posts.

I have been using this PPC quite a bit (heavy on the note taking and excel usage) since I got it and have never had this happen, until now.

The next time you start the program (after actually terminating the application) it will show as registered.

The web site, in FAQs, says your registration code should works on both 2002 and 2003 versions, and also states that the license allows you to use the program on all your personal devices, be they 2003, 2002 or a mix (owner name must be the same, of course).

I guess we can download the trial version and use the registration we receive with the 2003 version???

That should work. I downloaded from the link on my invoice page and have it running as a trial now, not having put my reg. code in yet.

I didn't read the small print either -- and it looks like I would need more than 2 versions to get something that runs on my old HP 540 which says that I'm using Windows CE version 3.0

Glad it was only $1.49 I wasted. Since I had to input my PocketPC name, I probably can't even give it away!
