I cannot login to MSN Messenger on my PPC. It keeps telling me that either my login name doesn't exist or my password is incorrect. I can login using my desktop PC using the same login name and password though.
Has anyone else had this problem? Help!

Is the MSN messenger update installed on your device?
I don't know for sure if this will fix your problem but you can try it.

Hard Reset :(

How are you inputing your information on your Pocket PC? I find that transcriber is not the best way to go as it can sometimes transform your letters, numbers, spaces, symbols etc. into something else.
I would recommend that you tap it in slowly with your on screen keyboard and that you make sure you only tap it once. Then, see if it works or not. (Or try your folding keyboard, if you do own one.)
Have your tried soft resets? Do you remember any programs that you last put on that seemed they could have interfered with the program? I for sure know that I have installed tons of programs and no interference yet.
I do hope you can find your solution with out hard resetting, that would be a total blow. However, saying that, you could do a complete backup using Activesync and then hard reset the device, put the MSN patch on, and see if you can logon then. If that fails, then I dont know - and you can put your device back to how it was. If it does work, then I guess you can have a lot of fun reinstalling your software.
Best of luck,
-Justin.

Two suggestions:
1. Change your password. Perhaps make it a bit simpler.
2. Try reinstalling the update.
Other than that... :|

After throwing hard reset right out on the table, I think I will change my mind and go with Janak on this one.
Just a quick suggestion; doubt it will work: Try logging off from the PC and then connecting by the PPC.

Well folks - in the end, I wound up doing a hard reset.
I immediately installed the MSN Messenger update and then tried logging in - and it worked!
So, I proceeded to reinstall the rest of my software. About 3/4 way through this process, I had a preminition. I tried MSN Messenger again and guess what - I got the same dreaded error message.
So - it would seem that something that I installed is causing a conflict with MSN Messenger. I suspect that it may be MultiIE - but have not uninstalled it yet to test my theory.
Has anyone else experienced conflicts between MultiIE and MSN Messenger?

Not sure if this will be any help but I have but I am running the updated MSN Messenger and MultiIE 3.0 on my Jornada without any problems.

Well, since you already did a HR...
Do another one, add your apps one at a time, testing Messenger each time. You are bound to find the culprit...
