View Full Version : Problems with charging and operate new iPAQ 5550

Hi,
I bought a new iPAQ 5550.
After 1-2 days there were problems with the charging, sometimes the LED does not blink and there was no charge, while the battery is about 30%-40%.
I tried Hard Reset, but the problem remained.
After more 1-2 days, there is no possibility to operate the iPAQ at all (The Battery is approximately about 90%-100%).

HP replaces the iPAQ 5550 by another new iPAQ 5550 and the same problems as mentioned above occurred.

HP replaces the iPAQ 5550 by a third new iPAQ 5550 and the same problems as mentioned above occurred.

I would like to know if there are known problems with this model, and what should I do.

My first Pocket PC, and I very sad... :cry:

Have you already tried plugging the power cord into the iPAQ directly, without the cradle? Also, have you tried different power outlets? I haven't heard of any problems like this with the 5550, and since the problem has continued after replacing it, twice, I would say the problem is probably not with the iPAQ.

Have you tried using a different power cord? Maybe there's a problem with that.

HP replaces all the package, so, I tried another power cord.
