Anyone know of a place to get nerdy screensavers? I know that SETI@Home and UD Agent look cool, but I was looking for something especially nerdy.

Something that screams "geek". :robot:

Know of anything?

Hmm, my price is right screensaver with pictures of Bob Barker (from cbs.com) is, in my opinion, nerdy, as only elderly, very young, and nerds are home to watch TPIR during the day.

Take a look at the Useless Creations (http://uselesscreations.com/matrix/) website. The MATRIX Revolutions screen saver is especially "geeky".

Just out of curiosity, what is a "Cyclic Redundancy Check?"

I've been reading a book on TCP/IP, and just love getting new nerd words. A cyclic redundancy check is a mathematical computation (like a checksum) that makes sure a TCP/IP packet has not been damaged or lost. It can be implemented in other ways, but the most common is in TCP/IP networking.

I'm not a networking expert (heck, I'm in High School!), but I understand it conceptually and enjoy knowing what is it for the sake of knowing. It's part of the W?BCIC! (Why? Because I Can!) principle.

Oh.... uh, OK... (backing away slowly looking frightened).
Er... you have a nice day now. (turns around and runs like hell!)

Looking at some of the sigs of posters in this forum, they could do screen savers of all their old PDAs, now that would be geeky.

Speaking of nerdy, anyone know of a good LOTR screen saver, or will I have to make my own? I already have 10 or so LOTR themes for my PPC. :D
