I just moved, and there was an existing dish on the house, so we had no need for it, so we took it down. Now I know I have seen people that have converted sattelite dishes into directional antennas, so I was wondering if anyone here has done that, or knows where I can find a guide online. Thanks.

Those were great links.....I would be interested in following this project along. The results that some of these guys are getting are hard to believe...61 miles for WiFi!!

Hi,
two friends of mine tested this serveral times. They could connect with 11 MBit at 26 km!
More was not possible because they live in a hilly environment. They tried it with a higher distance but everytime there was another hill in their line of sight.
The installation was very easy. They laid down their sat-dishes in two old chairs, switch a little with the direction of the dishes and everything was ok.
