Needed application:

Take a screen capture of a contact and put a reminder alarm to it.

Rationale: Set phone call reminders without doing tedious text entry.

Do-able in the Palm world with 'Diddle Snap' and 'DiddleBug'.

Great utility ! Worth /paying\ for.

Hope a creative developer will consider it.

I think you can do that.... you can use something like MagicSS a screen capture tool.. file the bmp... and then I think you could probably use something like BugME to launch it as an Alarm... Don't qoute me as I am just thinking off the top of my head.. making breakfast here for the little lady...

I wish it were so but BugMe is really buggy software. Misses alarms frequently. Bought it. Gave it a good hard try. Emails to developer. Gave up on it.

And I'm not aware of any other reminder software that allows the importation of a screen capture.

Doesn't Pocket Informant or Agenda Fusion give you something like this? Surely one of these lets you tap and hold a contact and give you a "make an appointment/set an alarm with this contact' option.

There is actually am MS Powertoy that helps. It puts a make Appointment and Make Task as context options in the Contacts app though it doesn't seem to work to well with WM2003.

To my knowledge, neither does this. I am certain AF doesn't. AF and PI developers -please- take note !

In PI, you can do this by tapping and holding the contact, then selecting "Create Appointment with". The appointment screen pops up, with the subject pre-filled with the contact's name and phone number. Then you just set the date and time and tap ok. All told, it takes about 5 seconds.

Of course, if you have a WM2003 machine, the reminder alarm may not actually go off, but that's not PI's fault... :?

Can do same with Agenda Fusion too but I don't want an 'Appointment'. I want an 'Alarm Note'.

Don't want to clutter my appointment database with every phone call.
