My wife just started to use my old palm Vx and I wanted to beam her a .pdb book from my ipaq 1910 to her unit. The file is on the storage card. How can I beam a file?

I don't remember if you can beam a file from a Pocket PC t a palm...
You should just be able to use explorer and click-n-hold then select send via IR.
If that doesn't work, you may need to try something like Peacemaker to translate for you.

I haven't tried to beam a file to a Palm, but I have beamed contact information. It may be as simple as aiming the two devices' Ir ports at each other, tapping and holding on the file in File Explorer on your iPAQ, and selecting "Beam File..." from the menu.

I have successfully beamed a PRC file to a Palm - this installs the program onto the Palm. 8) PDB files, like books, beam fine as well.
