ROM update question

Since I've performed a hard reset on E -740, Does that mean I have to re-install the Toshiba ROM updates? It looks like there are a couple different ones out there from reading the threads, The only one I installed was the Toshiba update. I have a late model 2002 e-740 It does not seem to have the issues of the earlier production models, Other than the white letters I've read about in the Journal bar installation.

Do I need to reinstall the Toshiba update?

ROM is not affected by hard resets
