It's always the case, so far, that Apple sets the bar higher and higher with their products. So if you haven't seen it yet, the iPodmini has been unveiled at MacWorld today. 4GB, .5 inches thick and Firewire/USB2 support. I think this will definely kill off some of the solid state players that are out there today.

I have to say that Apple does it's research well and continues to show. This begs the question, as many people have stated before, why can't anyone else do this and do it well?

I'm a PC user and it always bothers me that there is no one company who is willing to go after Apple in terms of design and innovation. It feels like that they've just given up. The other thought is that they'll just let Apple be their R&D and then come up with something.

My rant for the day...
