As far as I can tell, it's built on "top" of PIE and provides a tabbed interface and the ability to save images to the filesystem. There aren't screenshots of the new version yet, but here's one from the 2002 version:

A number of new features are also planned for upcoming releases, including saving links to disk and a "simple view".

Oooh! Goody! I loved this for 2002. 2003 with new Muli-IE is _very_ nice but I will enjoy having another option. Especially a free one. ftxPBrowser has some nice features that no one else offers.

For $24? You do know that there's a $10 off if you buy it at PocketGear.

I did buy it from Pocketgear... It was $8 off (for the non-java version). (24-8 + 17%vat =+-$21)

Dont worry, cognitive dissonance will soon see me justifying the purchase... I mean the smart-fit works really well (see, its working already :))

back to on-topic. Ftxbrowser is brilliant, and I really missed it when I moved to wm2003. I just wish they had more info on their website as to when they were expecting a 2003 version :(

Oh yeah I really like ftxPBrowser. I've been using it over Netfront for the last month. The simple view works very well, and full screen browsing with cleartype and tabs is also nice. It doesn't work with every site however, I still need stock pie to view my hotmail for instance. I'm still trying to decide whether to upgrade my NetFront or not.

Anyone knows how well this works with the Toshiba e800 in VGA mode? And whats with the mouthful of a name? :) -
Q: What browser do you use?
A: Err .. ftxP ... Err

I've been using it for a while too as my default browser. One thing it can't handle is embedded Flash, and I assume other controls as well. But it's great for AvantGo and browsing most PDA formatted sites.

What features does it have that PiePlus Doesn't Have?. Frank

[I use mostly pieplus, for uncomplicated sites, otherwise use Netfront 3.1 for e805. Incidently can we use the JV-Lite from the previous Netront version for Netfront 3.10 for e805?]
