what's the best freeware program to use as a remote control, and what's the best pay software for this?

i know the ipaq2215 comes w/ a program like this, but i have a 1945 and never got it on minee

Nevo is what the 2215 comes with, I really like it although I'm not really opiniated since its the only remote program I've used.

Nevo may be free with 2215 but it isn't normally freeware :P And unfortunately, I don't know of any "free" remote controls out there. Other people may help though.

If you do have to buy/trial one I'd suggest either nevo or pocket TV remote controller. They're not that expensive. However, I strongly recommend you trial them first as to make sure the limited IR range of the 1945 is satisfactory to your needs.
