Infrared Receive.....accept all incoming files my ____

I don't know if I don' understand the purpose of this or not, but when beaming a file from one device to another, I have noticed that selecting the checkbox "accept all incoming beams" doesn't do anything.

Every PPC I've had has been this way.

Doesn't that option just turn off the IR Receiver?
So that when someone tries to beam you the PPC never answers?

That's what I thought, but if that's true, then the opposite should hold true when the checkbox is selected. I mean, it should automatically answer and accept incoming beams without having to go to infrared recieve.

Yeah, that's right.
Mine's checked and every time someone beams me info it automatically pops up a message asking if i want to accept it.

That's interesting. I'll have to play with this a little more. I'v never gotten this to work on any of the 4 PPC's that I've owned, or on other peoples PPC's when I'm beaming them files.

I figured that was the way it was supposed to work, but then again I can't get a Wi-Fi Sync to work either, so.........
