I currently have a palm T¦T and am considering making the switch to PPC but have a couple of questions.
1. I use versamail a lot to access my email at work from outlook and also my personal pop3 mail account. Can pocket outlook acess multiple acounts like this?
2. I have narrowed my choice to either a 1945 or 2210 but what wondering what the differences are in the bundled software supplied and also the accessories supplied in the box.
Can someone give me a run down of these and any other particular differences apart from processor speed, 2 slots ...

Sorry #3. If I have software for my palm that also has a PPc version does anyone know if I can transfer over my reg codes or do I have to pay for second licence code?

Yes, the "Inbox" Pocket Outlook applet does support multiple accounts.

I think the 2210 has a slightly larger bundle, but I don't own either, so I'll defer to others.

Those are the two major differences. The third is size -- the 1945 is about the size of a Palm m505, whereas the 2215 is closer to the size of a T|T (a little taller, I believe).

You'd have to ask the manufacturers of the software that question. My initial guess is no, but they might -- and otherwise they may have an upgrade discount.

Tried this a while back with Mapopolis and they replied with a "Sorry Charlie". No more Mapopolis subscriptions for me.

I used a 1945, but returned it and got me the 2215 (US version of 2210)
way better. the 1945 is slightly faster in my opinion, even with the 266mhz cpu compared to a 400xscale, but other then that, it's awesome to have the ability to use AND CF cards and SD cards.
If you ever want to use Wifi, it will defenately pay off bigtime to go for the 2210
buttons are also a little nicer for games

I bought a hp1940 for my sister for Christmas this year so I have had a chance to play with it while I set it up for her. I myself am using a hp2210 and have so for about 3 months.

I personally like the design of the Hp1900 series I think it is the most eye pleasing device on the market bar none. The only thing that kept me from purchasing one was the lack of the dual slot. As mentioned above I also believe in real life use the Samsung 260mhz processor does seem to rum faster than my 400 Intel Processor but I believe that is because the bottleneck lies in the system bus. Either way... it does not matter.. the bottom-line is that the Hp1940 does not give much away to the Hp2210. As far as what is in the bundle... the thing that you would probably notice other than the CF slot is that it does not come with a cradle. However in saying this Staples (at least in Canada) is including one currently in their sales flyer. I don't know when this expires.

The other big thing is that here in Canada the cost of a Hp2210 is still about $569 where you can get a Hp1940 for $349, so there is a significant difference there.

What would I buy...? The Hp2210... but only because of the CF Slot... Now if I was looking to buy a unit today and I did not mine spending a few more hard earned dollars... I would have to look at the Toshiba e805... you get the 640x480 display, dual slots, and built in wireless... none of these Pda's are perfect... and they seem to have more problems than ever... and sure they are all small issues.. but when you add them up... I really missed the reliablity of my old Casio E-125.

Should products not work coming out of the box... it seems more than ever before it is acceptable that we the consumer do the R&D for these companies... that patches are an acceptable way to do business. Instead of releasing a finished product the attitude is we can patch it later, we need the influx of income now. And as the sheep we are... we the consumers accept that it is the way it should be.

<<< oops sorry will get off the soap box now...

If you do not need the CF Slot... get yourself the Hp1940 a really nice unit that will serve you as well as the Hp2210...

Forgot the bundled question.. there was nothing worth mentioning bundled in my Hp2210... most of it was demoware.. you could get from the net.
